University College Cork is very aware of the huge public interest in all matters to do with ‘Food’ and has therefore, established a Food Communications Information Service (FCIS) to liaise with ‘Food’ interest groups including consumer groups, regulatory agencies, the food industry and the media.

FCIS provides information on a wide range of food topics including:

Food Law

FCIS uses a specific web site and a newsletter to disseminate information.

The Food Communications Information Service (FCIS) was established in 1998 within the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, University College Cork, Ireland and is supported by the UCC/Food Industry Partnership Board.
