1. Equal Opportunity and Diversity Policy
• Equality of opportunity is the right of all persons to receive fair, equal, and non-discriminatory consideration in access to and the processes of education and employment.


2. Academic Appointment Procedure
• The following Policies apply -- Procedures for the filling of permanent academic Non-Professorial Posts and Academic Appointment procedures for permanent Professorial Posts


3. Non Academic Appointment Procedure
• It is the policy of the University to recruit employees in a fair and transparent manner. These procedures apply to all non-academic posts.


4. Section 36 (1) Universities Act, 1997, Equality Policies of the University - Report to the HEA October 2001
• The implementation of the equality and access policies of the University, development of new policy, and measure taken towards equality of opportunity since September 1998 are described in this report.


5. Code of Practice on the Employment of People with Disabilities at UCC
• UCC is committed to ensuring that people who are capable of effective performance in the posts which they hold or to which they aspire are not disadvantaged or discriminated against by reason of having a disability.


6. Duty of Respect and Right to Dignity Policy (including staff complaints procedure) -
• University College Cork affirms the right of all staff and students to work and study in an environment free from harassment and bullying.
