Conference Dinner
The Conference Dinner will be held on the Wednesday evening in the Aula Maxima, the vaulted neo-Gothic hall which is used for assemblies, concerts, graduation ceremonies...and banquets.
For dinner on other evenings there are plenty of places within easy
walking distance, ranging from simple diners to some of Ireland's
finest restaurants. Irish-music pubs are a few minutes further, in the downtown area.
Excursions
There will be an afternoon excursion on the Wednesday with a choice of visits.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DISTILLERY/COBH EXCURSION IS NOW FULLY BOOKED.
Blarney Castle, to kiss the Blarney Stone (conferring the Gift of Eloquence), followed by a shopping trip to the converted Blarney Woollen Mills 
for some retail therapy;The Jameson Distillery near Midleton, to see how Irish Whiskey is made, followed by a visit to the Heritage and Emigration Centre
in nearby Cóbh, from where so many ships left for America during the Famine, and where the Titanic made her last port of call.
Coaches will leave for these trips after lunch, and return in time for dinner in the Aula Maxima.
