Submission of workshop proposals
Proposals for workshops must be submitted to the conference address (tug2008@tug.org) in plaintext, plain TEX, or LATEX format only. Proposals should state the following:
- Title of the workshop
- Objectives
- Synopsis of topics covered
- Audience likely to attend
- Duration
- Names and details of presenters
- Facilities required
Submit an Abstract
Proposals for presentations and workshops are welcomed on any topic of interest to TEX users, including (but not limited to):
- TEX, LATEX, ConTEXt, and related software
- Typography and document design
- Interfaces (editors and viewers)
- Digital and electronic publishing
- Mathematical and specialist typesetting
- Presentation vs content
- Web, media, and hypertext
- Document structure and semantics
- Educational technology and learning support systems
The official language of the conference is English.
Abstracts for presentations must be submitted as LA TEX or AMS-LATEX articles (ltugproc document class), Plain TEX or plaintext files, or XML files (ODF (eg OpenOffice), WordML, OOXML, or another common XML format). Do not send proprietary binary document formats like .doc files.
You can submit your Abstract by one of the following methods:
- by email attachment to tug2008@tug.org;
- by using the dropbox at http://www.udel.edu/dropbox (give the email address tug2008@udel.edu); or
- by using the form provided below (processed using LATEX).
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, originality, clarity and relevance. The full version of accepted papers must follow TUG Proceedings (ltugproc) guidelines. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings as a special issue of TUGboat.
At least one author of each paper must be registered and attend the conference to present the paper.
