Types of training available to students

There are a number of methods of study available to UCC students provided by the training centre. Participants can:

• All students may study online
  • ECDL via blackboard details below
  • Use our online training manuals to learn Microsoft Office Basics (UCC network only)
• Postgraduate Students may attend classroom training

Undergraduate students may only avail of the online training.

Online ECDL Training - available free to all UCC students and staff

The ECDL online training is now available through your Blackboard account.

To access this module log into your account and search for ECDL in the course catalogue and click on enroll.

Classroom Training (for postgraduate students only)
The Training Centre runs training courses in a dedicated training room located on the 4th floor of the Kane Building (Science Building). These courses, depending on the subject being covered, can run for a half-day (09.30-13:00) or (14.30 - 16.30) and can take a maximum of 10-13 participants. This Classroom training is available to Staff and Post-Grads. The Training Centre timetables can be found here.
