Masterclass A: DV
Masterclass: Child Protection and Domestic Abuse: Rethinking Practice with Prof. Kate Morris and Prof. Bríd Featherstone
This masterclass will draw on an extensive change project undertaken with over 30 Local Authorities in England examining the nature and impact of current responses to families where DVA is a concern and families are living with domestic violence, leading to a child protection intervention. It will explore the experiences of women, children and men and how these raise serious questions for policymakers and practitioners. Alternative approaches will be explored alongside an opportunity for participants to reflect on their own local policies and practices, and messages from recent research.
This event is supported by the Irish Association of Social Workers and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. This event is a not-for-profit event.
