Music
Studies in Music may be taken as a minor subject at UCC in CK101 (Arts), CK106 (Applied Pscyhology, CK112 (Drama & Theatre Studies), and the four-year BA in Chinese Studies. Students are required to pass the Music entrance test which is held in September each year.
Why Study Music?
Music is a typical university Arts subject in that it explores our cultural heritage and cultivates skills in finding and evaluating information, communicating ideas and making sound judgements. But it also entails much more: it increases our understanding of a powerful wordless language; it develops our mental and physical stamina; it improves our coordination and dexterity; it makes us more perceptive; and it teaches us to cooperate reliably and sensitively with others.
