Sports Star of the Year Awards

The University in association with the Sports & Recreation Office awards ten students with Sports Star Awards for ex­cellence on the ‘field of play’. The Awards are presented at a function at the end of April on an annual basis. The River Lee Hotel and the Bank of Ireland are sponsors of the event.

This year’s awards were presented by Dr. Michael Murphy, President UCC and Mr Frankie Sheahan, former Irish and Munster rugby player and UCC Graduate.

The awardees for 2010/11 are as follows:
