What is the Spring Semester Programme?
The Spring Semester at University College Cork commences on Monday, 7th January 2013 and will end on Friday, 28th March 2013.
Visiting students enrolled for the Spring Semester have the opportunity to select modules from across a range of academic departments and faculties. The College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, in particular, offers a number of semesterised modules in subjects such as Archaeology, Celtic Civilisation, English, Folklore, Greek, Greek and Roman, History, Latin, Music, Philosophy and Spoken Irish. The Faculty of Science (College of Science, Engineering and Food Science) also offers a range of semesterised modules in subjects such as Biochemistry, Geology, Microbiology, Zoology and Ecology.
What will I be Studying?
A student studying at University College Cork for the Spring Semester will normally take modules to the value of 30 UCC credits.
Examinations will commence on Tuesday 7th May 2013 and are expected to be completed by the 31st May 2013. Students studying at UCC for the Spring Semester must sit normal end-of-year examinations.
Entry Requirements
Visiting Non-Eu Students: The minimum G.P.A. requirement for admission to the Spring Semester Programme in Literatures in Ireland is normally 3.0 out of 4.0
Erasmus/Visiting EU Students: Students must be nominated by home university to study at University College Cork.
