Types of Assisitve Technology Available in UCC
The Disability Support Service has worked with various departments across campus to mainstream Assistive Technology software for the use of students with disabilities in UCC. Read and Write specialised software for dyslexic students, and Zoomtext, specialised software for students with vision impairment, have been installed on all computers owned by the library and all new computer labs opened on campus.
In addition there is an Open Access Computer Lab in the Disability Support Service, which has computers with a range of Assistive Technology software installed on them. These computers are for the use of all students registered with the Disability Support Service.
