SpLD Support Programme

 

The DSS has two Advisors to Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD). Their role is to assess each student that registers with the DSS with a SpLD and then put in place any supports that may result from the needs assessment.  

The advisors can meet with both registered and prospective students who may have concerns about their course work or need support around their SpLD. The service is run by appointment only. Students are requested to make contact with the office to arrange an appointment.

What are Specific Learning Difficulties?

   Dyslexia
   Dyspraxia/DCD
   Dyscalculia
   Dysgraphia

We also support students with Asperger Syndrome and ADD/ADHD.
