While improving her English and researching her options upon graduating from high school in Chengdu, Yue encountered an Irish woman called Sheila who was studying at Sichuan University. Sheila’s stories about her life in the place where she grew up sparked Yue’s interest in the Emerald Isle and she soon discovered that UCC boasts a strong international reputation in Nutritional Sciences - just what she wanted to study.
Says Zhang Yue “This discovery that I could study exactly what I wanted to in the place that intrigued me was like a dream come true! I know I made the best choice to come here because I have learnet and experienced so much. I had a great time with friends at UCC, and in the local community. I am looking forward my Master’s and continued life in Cork.”
