Bai Yifan from Henan University of Finance and Economics is studying for a Bachelor of Computer Science in UCC and is currently on work placement in the ICT group of the Electricity Supply Board (ESB).
Bai Yifan from Henan University of Finance and Economics is studying for a Bachelor of Computer Science in UCC and is currently on work placement in the ICT group of the Electricity Supply Board (ESB). He is finding his colleagues very friendly and is learning a lot of new things but is also learning to be independent.
Bai finds that the lecturers in UCC are experienced and their teaching is very inspiring. There is an extensive collection of books covering every field in the Boole Library. In his spare time Yifan really likes the Mardyke Arena where he often plays basketball and swimming.
Bai finds the Irish climate and temperature very comfortable and enjoys discovering the many historical landmarks of Cork City. He finds Irish people friendly and is also learning to enjoy the strong musical tradition.
Says Yifan “Before I came to Ireland I liked Westlife very much. Now that I am in Ireland I have come to appreciate many other Irish bands as well. Cork is a great place for music fans!”
