The chief aim of this group is to review, modify, and develop our use of technology in supporting the student experience. Key to this project is the preparation of for the opening of the Student Hub in 2017 where physical co-location of a number of services and student led activities will be supported by technological solutions. Technology is being seen as a platform for continuous improvement and key objectives include:
- Developing a ‘virtual hub’ for the provision of information.
- Exploring best use of existing web and VLE platforms to increase opportunities for student engagement.
- Conducting process mapping for prioritized student services in readiness for adoption of the new URM. This will act as a template for other Student Experience Office services moving to URM in the near future.
- Increasing student engagement with online supports, in particular a single UCC app which will support a cross functional approach to service provision.
