Irish Blind Sports at Carrig WWC

Our collaboration with Irish Blind Sports went from strength to strength with many of our visually impaired skiers progressing the skiing alone! Many thanks to Eoghan Dinan of the Evening Echo for his coverage of these events. Read more >>

Welcome to UCC Staff Waterski & Wakeboard Club

Whether it is your first time or you know your stuff, you will enjoy your time on the water. UCC holds a corporate membership with Carrig WaterSki Centre, near Macroom, and members benefit from the knowledge and skill acquired during its 20 year history. All you need is your swim gear and a towel; the centre will provide the rest.  Use of a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and skis are included in the price of the lesson.

Funding Received from Staff Sports & Social

The Staff Waterski & Wakeboard Club are very grateful to the Staff Sports & Social Club for their ongoing support each year. The funding received from SSSC helps to make the sport accessible to all UCC staff.

Preparing for the season ahead

Following the severe freeze across Ireland in December, we found that the slalom course had broken free of its moorings. An afternoon working under a blanket of fog had everything back in place.

Super Summer Ski - June 2010

Sunday 20th June

- An Open Event -

at Carrig Waterski & Wakeboarding Centre

A mighty crowd turned up for this open event, with over 80 people taking to the water! An even more satisfying statistic is that more than half of those had never skied before. Great credit goes to the crew of volunteers at Carrig for skiing and feeding so many. See the video & photos.
