Event: UCC Exhibition Stand to showcase the accomplishments of the 2 University Colleges

Location: Convention Centre

 

  • Health Information Systems Research Centre

Event: UCC Exhibition Stand to showcase the Centre's Research Projects (including an aerial robot "Amelia" to be used to deliver not only diagnostic equipment, but also medications and vaccinations to rural communities in remote parts of developing countries)

Event: “Droppin’ Science” Workshop featuring performances from past winners of APC’s “Science Raps” competition

Event: “Big Science for Small Countries": Examining the benefits to small EU countries like Ireland of establishing large-scale science facilities in terms of scientific and technological output and economic growth

Friday 13th July:

The academic science journal 'Nature' will host a press conference on an article to be published later that day: “Diet correlates with both gut microbiota variation and health in the elderly”. The research was carried out by scientists at UCC and Teagasc, Moorepark.
