1 What operating systems are supported?

• Windows 7
• Windows Vista
• Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
• OSX - 10.5, 10.6 & 10.7
• Linux
• iOS i.e. iPad, iPhones & iPod Touches

2 How do I connect to the wireless?

To connect to the wireless you must register your device and then have the IT helpdesk staff configure and enable it. Details on how do to this are here: Wireless Network Access

3 What locations have wireless access?

This list will be added to as more points become available. Most restraunts and social areas have wireless access.

4 Can I connect my Smart Phone to the wireless network?

The ability to connect a Smart Phone to the wireless depends on a number of things.

• The make of phone
• The operating system installed
• The phone providers settings

iPhones and iPod Touches should connect to the wireless. Android devices running Android 3.0 should connect, however there is no guarantee as phone providers settings can prevent or interfere with the connection.

5 Can I print from the wireless network?

Printing from the wireless network is possible using Uprint.

• In a web browser go to http://uprint.ucc.ie
• Login using your Network Logon Account
• Upload the document you wish to print or enter a web address
• Click Next
• Select the Advanced tab for SIT Printing service
• Select Long-sided
• Click on SIT Printing Service
• Your job is now sent, you can release it at any of the Open Access Printers
• Your job will remain in the queue for 6 hours as standard
