HEANET (our Internet service provider) has negotiated a discounted Mobile Broadband service offering for all participating third level colleges in
The service is available to all staff and students of UCC. Details of the offer are available at www.02.ie/heanet , and include a twelve month introductory offer for €13 per month or term time €15 per month contract plus the initial cost of a USB modem for €20. Though very useful for laptop users, it may also be suitable for use with a home desktop computer particularly when a fixed telephone line is not available or required.
O2 will be located in the following areas to promote the service:
- O'Rahilly Building Foyer on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th September
- Brookfield Health Sciences on Wednesday 1st October
You can sign up for this service on the spot but you will need to provide:
1. A valid UCC student ID
2. Proof of Address e.g. Utility Bill, Letter from CAO
3. Bank Details or Credit/Laser Card
4. Proof of Date of Birth
