Tadhg O'Leary

I joined the Teacher Practitioners’ team in September 2012.  I obtained my BSc (Pharmacy) from Trinity College Dublin in 1998 and completed the PSI licensing examination in 1999.  I also completed an MSc in Healthcare Management (Community Pharmacy Management in 2010 at Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland (RCSI).  In 2011 I completed a Certificate in Coagulation Management for Healthcare Professionals here at University College Cork.

My work experience to date includes positions with Elan Pharmaceutical Technologies, Athlone, Co Westmeath and the Bon Secours Hospital in Cork.  I also spent a period of time at the Calvary Hospital Pharmacy in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.I have worked in Blackpool Bridge Pharmacy since 2002 and I am the owner manager there since 2005.

I have also acted as National Pharmacy Intern Programme Tutor since 2006 and I was a the Cork/Kerry representative on the IPU Executive Committee from 2005 until 2011.
