5 year Staff H&S training metrics (5 years to end Dec 2010)
2499 staff undertook H&S Office arranged h&s training courses in the 5 years ending December 2011. This represented a 10% increase on attendances for the preceeding 5 year period of 2266 staff. The introduction of Functional Area annual safety Reports in 2004 and two e-learning h&s courses contributed significantly to this volume increase.
A total of 6316 UCC staff have attended staff h&s courses organised by the H&S Office in the period 1994 to 2011.

In this time frame the H&S offices internal QA sytem, which the University Safety Officer established long before it became a requirement for universities to set up QA systems under the Irish Universities Act, has operated to deliver a quality training product and great value for money. This has been maintained over the last number of years with the addition of two bespoke e-learning packages for staff.
The average staff QA assessment values for h&s courses for the period 1994 - 20011 was 91%. p.a. )
