Out-turn from Benchmarking review of 2010 Functional Area Annual Safety Reports and 3 year comparison

The independent benchmarking review completed during 2011 on the 2010 year FA annual safety reports and action plans, (as submitted on a year in arrears basis throughout 2010), maintained the previous years overall average performance, based on content, for all participating Functional Areas.
The average result based solely on report content of all contributing functional areas was 76.5%, 77%, 72.9%, 71.6% and 72.5% respectively for 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006.
(Foot: when non participating functional areas are included and exits adjustments introduced for the 2010 year review for FA report presentation ( integration and prioritisation) and late submission are included, the overall nett out-turn reduced to 61.2%* for 2010. (50.5% +, 64.3%, 67.9% and 68.5% respectively for the previous years. Exit adjustments (+) were introduced in 2009).
Note* Submission delays of some 3-6 months by some some four functional areas and the non participation of four other functional areas, within the 6 month window allowed for the benchmarking review, accounted for the 2010 net result.
