6th Positive Choices Conference in Leeds - Friday 9th April 2010
26 Mar 2010
Following on from the success on the 5th Positive Choices Conference in UCC last year, over twenty Intellectual Disability BSc Nursing students and the Intellectual Disability lecturing team are travelling to the 6th Positive Choices Conference in Leeds. This conference, designed for Intellectual Disability nursing students is the largest of its kind in Europe and consistently raises awareness of Intellectual Disability nursing. This year four third year Intellectual Disability BSc nursing students and two BSc Midwifery students from the School of Nursing and Midwifery will present at this conference, alongside lecturing staff Ms Lynne Marsh from UCC and Ms Helen Laverty from Nottingham University. Their project is a joint venture of both UCC and Nottingham University and is funded by a NAIRTL Award.
