Biography
Dr Denis Linehan
Denis Lnehan is a social and cultural geographer. He joined UCC in 1999. He lectures across a broad range of graduate and undergraduate modules in the Department of Geography, in areas concerned with the contemporary and historical conditions of urban life. His current research interests are shared between (i) investigations into place, consumption and social change, (ii) the historical geographies of the state and social policy (iii) urban governance in the contemporary city. Recent Books include ‘City of Difference: Mapping Social Exclusion’. 2005 (with Claire Edwards) and ‘An Atlas of Cork’ Cork University Press, 2005, (with J. Crowley, R. Devoy and P. O Flanagan) eds.
