Scholarships awarded to students of Italian and other languages
26 Jan 2012
At a ceremony in UCC's Glucksman Gallery, Professor Caroline Fennell, Head of the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, presented Professor Mary Ryan Scholarships to six First-Year students of Italian and another language. The Scholarships are named after the UCC Professor of Romance Languages who, in 1911, became the first woman to hold a Chair in a university in these islands.
See the CACSSS webpage or the Italian Facebook page for photos and further details of these Scholarships and of those awarded to other students of Italian.
