Practical information for participants

The following are a number of links to relevant parts of the UCC Conferencing webpages. If the information you are looking for is not here, try going to the Home page of the Conferencing service.

HTML file  Accommodation.  Here you will find links to private accommodation in the UCC area, divided by category: hostels, B&Bs, self-catering and hotels. Inclusion of details in this list does not constitute a recommendation or guarantee by the Conference Committee.
HTML file  Useful links.  Directions (including a link to the Cork Airport website), parking, maps, places of interest, etc. The main international airlines flying into Cork Airport are Aer Lingus and Ryanair, but the Airport site details all inbound and outbound flights. Dublin Airport has a greater range of international connections.
HTML file  Childcare.  Details of childcare facilities for conference participants at the UCC Crèche (10 minutes walk from Main Campus). A limited number of places will be available on Friday (26 June) only: participants interested in applying for these places should email the creche@ucc.ie directly, after the end of April. If you need informal childcare on the Saturday, please send an email with the subject 'Childcare: Saturday' to corkcrime@gmail.com with details of your child's age.
Restaurants in Cork  A list of restaurants in Cork. It may be advisable to book for Friday evening, and for Saturday (if you are not attending the Gaol event).

Restaurants in Kinsale  Those of you staying on in Cork on Sunday might consider a visit to Kinsale, a picturesque seaside town about 30 minutes drive from Cork city.
