Data Security

If the only requirement is that the data be stored and captured securely, any of the products listed could be used. Remember, Qualtrics is only available to research staff and students. 

Data Output

Will you be using SPSS?  Google forms and O365 forms both generate CSV/Excel files. CSV files can be inputed in to SPSS

What can you do with Google Forms?

With Google Forms, you can create and analyze surveys right in your mobile or web browser—no special software required. You get instant results as they come in. And, you can summarize survey results at a glance with charts and graphs.

Google forms can be embedded in to a UCC CMS webpage easily.

New to Google Forms?

If you are new to Google Forms, the G Suite Learning Centre will help get you started.

Google Account

Use your UCC email to log in to your UCC Google account to access and create forms straight away.

What can you do with O365 Forms?

Microsoft Forms is a simple, lightweight app that lets you easily create surveys, quizzes, and polls. 

O365 forms can be embedded in to a UCC CMS page easily.

The Forms page on the UCC Microsoft Learning Pathways SharePoint site (requires login with UCC credentials) covers everything you need to set up a form.

Office 365 Account

Go to o365.ucc.ie and log in using your UCC credentials and begin creating forms right away.

Student Surveys

Surveys to be sent to students must be sent to surveys@umail.ucc.ie, not to the ALLSTUDENTS mailing list. See . If you have problems using the survey address, please contact helpdesk@ucc.ie

No matter which tool you choose to use you must not collect personal data within the meaning of the Data Protection Acts or the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) without the prior written approval from OCLA.
