Falls risk factors identified for patients with advanced cancer

Researchers from Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services and St James’s Hospital, have identified several factors which can predict an increased risk of falling amongst terminally ill cancer patients.

Clinical trials for cholesterol drug to combat lung failure

An international clinical trial is to investigate the possibility that statins, a drug commonly used to combat cholesterol, might help patients with Acute Respiratory Disease Syndrome (ARDS) - a severe failure of the lungs.
