Job Grading Scheme
A number of cost saving initiatives have now been put in place. One of these initiatives is a time limited deferral of the Grading Scheme for Administrative Staff. We are therefore, not in a position to progress any grading applications at the current time.
In keeping with progressive human resource management policy, University College Cork aims to operate a fair and equitable job grading system. The current grading scheme has been in operation in UCC since 1996. Following a joint review by the Administrative Union and Management, some improvements to the existing scheme were identified. In order to ensure best practice in the operation of the Job Grading Scheme, the University has worked closely with SIPTU and the Irish Productivity Centre in the upgrading and improvement of the Scheme.
Please contact Catherine Murphy, Employee Relations on ext 3684 with any queries in relation to Grading.
