Training on Performance Management

1. Face to Face Training

Three main programmes are being provided on an on-going basis to train all staff covered by the system, as outlined in the Staff Performance & Development Review Policy, namely:

1. Reviewee Training (3 hour Session)
2. Reviewer Training (1 Day Session)
3. Head of Department/Area/Centre Training (1 Day Session with follow up session as required)

2.  Flowcharts - step by step guides

The following flowcharts provide a visual step by step guide to a) the overall Performance Management Review and b) the actual Performance Review Meeting between reviewer and reviewee.

3.  Online Training DVD

The Irish Universities Training Network has developed an online training DVD for Performance Management. This is divided into 'Teaching, Research and Administration/Management' categories so you specifically choose your own area.  You have the option to choose a 'First Time Review of Cycle' or 'Ongoing review cycle' and view relevant role plays of meetings.
