Staff Common Room

The Staff Common Room provides an informal meeting place for staff members.  All University staff members are eligible for membership, and the annual subscription is ordinarily payable by deduction from salary. Apart from providing excellent lounge facilities, the Common Room also serves morning coffee and afternoon tea, together with light lunches. Daily newspapers, magazines and journals are also available.

A Common Room Committee is elected annually and organises a programme of social events aimed especially at introducing new members of staff. Enquiries should be forwarded to the Honourary Secretary, Common Room, North Wing, Main Quadrangle.

Staff Restaurant

The Staff Restaurant, which provides a year-round luncheon service, is located south of the Main Restaurant building. A self-service system is in operation; waiter/waitress service is also available on a "special function" basis, and special menu is provided.
