Profile
Joseph Feller is the Bank of Ireland Professor of Business Information Systems, and serves as Head of the Department of Business Information Systems at UCC. His research explores mass collaboration and collective intelligence phenomena, e.g. open source software, hardware, content, and design; open innovation; open education and scholarship; crowdsourcing and crowdfunding. His work is published in Information Systems Research, Journal of the Association of Information Systems, Journal of Information Technology, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Information and Organization, Information Technology and People, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, and other peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His research has been funded by European Commission (FP5/FP6), Irish Research Council, Science Foundation Ireland, Anspar Foundation (USA), and by direct-funding from industry partners. In 2015-2016, he was Founding President of Special Interest Group on Open Research and Practice (SIGOPEN) of the Association of Information Systems. He currently teaches UG modules related to personal and professional development and PG modules on research methods and ethics.
