All MA; MRes; MPhil; PhD applicants in the School of History must consult with the relevant course co-ordinator/prospective supervisor prior to application to discuss/confirm their proposed research area and to nominate their supervisor. Staff research interests by faculty and department can also be found on http://www.expertiseireland.ie.
References are not required at application stage. All applications must satisfy a selections committee who may then ask applicants to provide letters of reference if necessary when considering applications.

To ensure that an application may be considered and a decision made in good time, students should apply as early as possible, and no later than 1 June, 2012 for the October start date. Later applications may be accepted, but this may result in delays.
