The Department of Geology offers several programmes of study in the Geological, Earth and Environmental sciences. The Department offers two single honours undergraduate degree programmes Geology and Earth Science and contributes significantly to the degree in Environmental Science.

Admission to all three degree programmes is through the Environmental Sciences stream (CK 404). The admission procedure and details of the options associated with the stream may be found on the University's Admissions Office web page. In addition, the Department runs a very successful Diploma Course in Geology that caters for those with a general interest in Geology. This programme is run on a Tuesday evening.

The Department also hosts a number of visiting who spend either a full year or part of year studying in the Department.
