The GatewayUCC Centre provides incubation and other related facilities for entrepreneurs, campus companies and knowledge-based ventures along with a comprehensive support programme comprising of advice, seminars, consultancy, workshops and individual training. The UCC Technology Transfer Office is the main point of contact for companies seeking partners for collaborative research and advice on licensing and other commercial opportunities and is responsible for the development of co-operation with industry and business.

The GatewayUCC Team will assist entrepreneurs with the identification, protection and exploitation of intellectual property, support for the establishment and development of start-up companies, including access to incubation space and development of co-operative links between UCC and the wider business community.

The GatewayUCC Centre in association with Enterprise Ireland and the City and County Local Enterprise Offices will provide clients access to a panel of Mentors and providing knowledge based companies and entrepreneurs with advisory services. This service is confidential, targeted at specific needs with the company and is a free service to the client.

GatewayUCC proposes to run a Series of Seminars which aim to put Enterprise and Innovation in centre focus within the University and to spread the importance of Enterprise and Innovation among students, post graduates, the research community, Graduate Entrepreneurs Programme participants and the wider Business Community. The general theme of the Seminars will be Entrepreneurship and developing linkage with Industry. The Seminars will commence in the first quarter of 2011 and will be advertised.
