Conferring Information 2012
Please note that the dates for the 2012 UCC Conferring Ceremonies are as follows:
- Spring Conferrings, Research Masters and PhD students, 29 March 2012
- Summer Conferrings, Medical, Dental, Nursing and PhD students, 14 June 2012
- Autumn Conferrings, for Summer and Autumn Examination results, all Faculties, 22-30 October 2012 (incl. with exception of Monday 29 Oct which is a bank holiday)
- Winter Conferrings, for Winter Examination results, all Faculties, 18 - 22 February 2013; please note that ceremonies may also be held between 25 Feb – 1 March, depending on numbers

The College of SEFS Graduate of the Year Award 2011
Congratulations to Kevin Moroney (School of Mathematical Sciences), runner-up.
The UCC Prizegiving Ceremony will took place on Monday 20th February, 2012. Kevin Moroney, Mathematical Sciences was the runner up. He was placed 9th in the Irish Mathematical Intervarsities Superbrain competition and tutored students at Junior, Leaving Cert. and third level Mathematics. He also represented UCC both nationally and internationally through mathematical outreach programmes. He played on the Maths Soccer Cup Team each year and was also one of the first members of UCC’s Bowling Club founded in 2009/10. He was a member of the Mathematical, Physics and Science societies. He won a scholarship and participated in the CIESEI internship programme in the University of California, Santa Barbara.
