Placement Dates
You will need to come to the Language Centre and take our placement test before being accepted onto a course. The placement test examines your speaking and written ability, and also your grammatical and vocabulary understanding. The test usually takes about 90 minutes. You will also be given advice on what course is best suited to your language level, and your language learning needs. You may then register for a class at your level. To take the placement test costs €15. It is also possible to take this placement test in your own country. A speaking test can be arranged either using a webcam or by telephone.
Part-time classes are free for all UCC students. However, they do have to pay for the placement test (15 Euro)
