This course is designed for anyone who need English for their academic studies. 

It has been devised around the acquisition of skills required to perform in an English speaking academic environment across subject areas which are generally encountered in a university setting. Students work on lectures, writing skills, research, literature reviews, note taking, interaction with supervisors, referencing, giving presentations, drafthing, paraphrasing, hedging, writing thesis statements etc.

General English (20 hours) + English for Academic Purposes (6 hours) +  Social Programme

Course Timetable:

9.00 to 13.00 Monday to Friday and

14.00 - 16.00  Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

  • Course materials are provided for this course .
  • Students have free access to computer centre, University Library, campus Wi-Fi and Self-Access Resource Centre and facilities on campus.
  • Discounted rates apply to Summer school students for use of Mardyke Arena Sports Complex.
  • Our classes are suitable for CEFR B2 (Upper-Intermediate)
