Environmental Chemistry: Group Overview
The Environmental Chemistry research area includes 7 full-time academic researchers from the Departments of Chemistry and Physics. The expertise of the group is centred on two recurrent, inter-linked themes, each comprising a number of related activities;
Environmental Monitoring and Modelling
- Laboratory studies of the atmospheric chemistry of pollutants
- Novel techniques for detection of trace gas species
- Field measurements and modelling
Environmental Protection and Control
- Development of novel catalysts for 'Green' chemical processes
- Green extraction and processing technology
