Atlas of the Deep-Water Seabed: Ireland

This atlas presents in an accessible, user-friendly format the major deep-sea features revealed during one of the largest deep-sea mapping campaigns world-wide. From submarine canyons to coral carbonate mounds, the atlas presents digital terrain models generated from multibeam data, ROV photographs from the seabed as well as descriptions, background information and topic boxes. The atlas offers, for the first time, a unique view on the deep-sea seafloor and its biological hotspots at a resolution not possible before. Extensive on-line resources link the reader to the full data sets and GIS while suggestions for further reading point to ongoing research highlights.
