MA Drama & Theatre Studies

This twelve month Masters programme offers students a rigorous introduction to contemporary theatre practice and criticism, through seminar and studio work, productions and individual projects.  The MA in run by the Board of Dram and Theatre Studies at UCC, and draws on staff from Drama and Theatre Studies, English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.  There is a lively context of debate around theatre and performance at The Granary Theatre.  This includes PERFORUM (a fortnightly series of talks and performances), and a programme of workshops given by visiting professional practitioners.

MA Applied Linguistics

This is a full-time course taken over three terms. There are compulsory taught courses in Aspects of Linguistic Theory and Applied Linguistics, and a choice of options; students also write a dissertation of 12 - 15,000 words. The MA is run under the auspices of the School of Language and Literature. Teaching Staff: Dr Maeve Conrick,  Dr Martin Howard, Mr Richard Masterson, Dr Elisabeth Okasha, Dr Manfred Schewe.

MA in Film Studies

The MA in Film Studies is an interdepartmental programme hosted by the Department of English, University College Cork. It is a one-year taught programme designed to offer students advanced-level critical skills in the discipline of Film Studies. The participating Departments are: Computer Science, English, French, German, Hispanic Studies, Italian, Music, Philosophy, and Sociology
