Taught Postgraduate Programmes in Engineering

The following programmes are available as full-time or part-time courses. Course durations specified below are for full-time students.

Postgraduate Diploma (Integrated Circuit Design) : This is a two-year conversion course to prepare Physics graduates for work in the Microelectronic Design industry.

MEngSc / Postgraduate Diploma (Information Technology in Architecture, Engineering and Construction) : This 12/8 month programme is a new programme delivered by web technology which responds to the increased need for improved collaboration and life-cycle oriented information management in Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Facilities Management.

MEngSc / Postgraduate Diploma (Mechanical Engineering) : This 12/8 month programme is open to graduates who already hold a degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.

MEngSc / Postgraduate Diploma (Microelectronic Design) : This 12/8 month programme for Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduates consists of taught modules and a research project.

MEngSc / Postgraduate Diploma (Pharmaceutical & Biopharmaceutical Engineering) : These are part time modularized degrees which allow participants to gain formal educational qualification in areas of particular concern to the bio/pharmaceutical industry.

MEngSc / Postgraduate Diploma (Sustainable Energy) : This 12/8 month programme is open to graduates who already hold a degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent qualification

MSc (Technology Management) : The MSc in Technology Management is a distance learning masters programme and will provide participants with an insight into the role of technology management within the Irish and international economy.
