Christian Spagnol received the electronic engineering degree from the Department of Information Engineering in the "Universita di Padova", Padova, Italy in 2003. His thesis research was focused on stochastic filtering methods for vehicle trajectory reconstruction. Since 2004, he has been with the Coding and Cryptography Research Group at University College Cork. He is studding towards the Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Dr. Liam Marnane. Main interest of his work are Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes, both from the theoretical and implementation-oriented point of view.
