The conference brings together a panel of international scholars from a broad range of disciplines such as sociology, psychology, epidemiology, philosophy, anthropology, medicine and others, to address the ways in which contemporary malaises, diseases, illnesses and psycho-somatic syndromes relate to cultural pathologies of the social body and disorders of the collective esprit de corps of contemporary society. This conference is being organized by the School of Sociology and Philosophy UCC, in partnership with the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Aalborg University, Denmark.
