PG 7003: The PhD II: From Development to Completion (5 Credits) (Second and Third Year Students)

From the second year onward it is essential to maintain the research momentum and enthusiasm needed to complete the PhD in a timely fashion.  This module guides you through mid-stage management techniques and introduces a variety of other practical sessions on networking and collaboration, web-design, editing skills and additional software such as NVIVO.  It examines issues relating to intellectual property and ‘writing up and writer’s block’. In addition it provides guidance and training for the final stages of the PhD, including submission and preparation for the viva.
