The First Year of the BA programme is designed for those without a previous experience of Ancient Greek. The course uses a text book specially designed for adult learners using interesting texts adapted from classical writers. Greek is almost unique as a language in enjoying unbroken continuity both as a written and as a spoken medium from about the 15th Century B.C. right up to the present day.
