Geography

In Geography we study the relationships between people, places and environments. As the world is transforming and we face new social, political, cultural and environmental challenges, Geography will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to understand the impacts on the spaces, places and environments in which we live. Our interests include climate change, social and economic inequalities, transformation of urban spaces, the emergence of global economies and population movements.
The knowledge and skills gained from studying Geography at UCC are valued by employers and can provide a springboard into careers such as environmental management, urban and regional planning, community development, tourism and heritage planning and
education.
