For centuries, French has been an important world language and one ofthe two main working languages of the European Union. French culture is renowned for cinema, music, literature and for its day-to-day living. In UCC, you will be able to find out about this culture, its history, books, films, philosophy and language. As well as France itself, you can explore some of the many other areas in the world that speak French, such as North Africa or Canada. In your third year, you can also choose, as increasing numbers do, to spend that year studying in France or Belgium.
