Taking Chinese Studies will open up a whole range of new and exciting possibilities for you and other UCC graduates as you prepare to enter a world in which the role of China is of ever-increasing importance. Despite comprising one fifth of the world’s population, few in Ireland know much about China, and even fewer understand it. Chinese Studies at UCC offers you the opportunity to gain such an understanding of China, alongside and through the study of the world’s most widely spoken language - Mandarin Chinese. Studying Chinese will distinguish you from the pack as someone who knows who’s Hu!
