The Current Situation
In 2007:
- UCC produced 1,562 tonnes of waste.
- The combined population of staff and students in UCC is 19,113.
- That is .08 Tonnes of waste/person in UCC.
- 1229 tonnes of waste is sent to landfill
- 79% of total waste
- 333 Tonnes of waste is recycled
-21% of total waste.
