POSTGRADUATE ORIENTATION
This year’s Orientation and Induction programme for new postgraduate research students will take place from October 4th to 7th, with the main induction day being A timetable of events for the week and a draft timetable for the central induction day can be seen at http://www.ucc.ie/en/graduatestudies/current/OrientationandInduction2010/InductionTimetable/
The programme on 6th October will provide an introduction to undertaking research, developing generic and transferable skills, and will hopefully answer questions students may have in relation to their research programme. This event will be followed by College-specific workshops on the afternoon of October 7th which will give research students the opportunity to meet other researchers from similar disciplines and get an overview of College-specific training and research modules. All events are aimed at research Masters and Doctoral students in their first year of research.
